I've never loved a dentist before lol! I am 40 years old and have never really voluntarily gone to the dentist without an emergency prompting me to schedule an appointment. The confidence I have gained since coming to this office is unbelievable, and I'm finally comfortable to get the many problems I've hid for so long taken care of. The dentist is genuine, kind, skilled, and intelligent! The office staff is welcoming and friendly! And the nurses are always accommodating and on point! Coming from someone who would rather give herself an extraction lol 😉, I highly recommend this office!

Best place for busy families with little ones. I have always been welcomed to bring my daughter with me when I come due to not having a sitter. This time around I was panicking as I had two children with me because the sitter was late. They welcomed my kiddos in and gave each of my kids fun little fidget toys. My youngest sat on my lap, and my oldest sat in a chair near me. They made it much less stressful of a checkup for me as a stay at home mom who was just trying to take care of herself too. 10/10 customer service and friendly environment

How it Works

The All-On-4 procedure involves removing your remaining teeth, placing 4-6 implants per arch, and securing a low-profile bridge to the implants. The implants are often placed at specialized angles to avoid the patient’s sinuses. This also avoids the need for expensive bone grafts that come with long healing times.

The traditional All-On-4 procedure involves 4 implants and acrylic denture teeth over a titanium frame. Our doctor has modified this procedure to provide an even better result for patients based on experience successfully placing countless dental implants. At Be More Dental Implant Studio, we carefully analyze each and every case and base our treatment on your individual anatomy. Your doctor will place between 4 and 6 implants per arch and temporary fixed bridges will be secured while your implants integrate with your jawbones and your mouth heals.

After your healing is complete, the doctor and lab technician will design your final All-On-4 teeth with zirconia, which is a premium material that’s much stronger than the traditional acrylic (plastic) denture teeth offered at most other dental offices. Zirconia gives a more natural, life-like result which is also more hygienic and resistant to staining. This means your teeth will last longer and look better than the acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges you’ll find with many other All-On-4 specialists.

Am I a Candidate?

Most patients will be a candidate for the All-On-4 procedure, even those who have been told they don’t have enough bone for dental implants. Your doctor will use a combination of straight and angled implants to avoid the sinuses and engage the strongest part of your jawbone. This technique usually removes the need for expensive and lengthy sinus augmentation bone grafts.

Your doctor will perform a thorough evaluation during your consultation to see if All-On-4, “Teeth in a Day” is a good option for you.

Why Zirconia is Better Than Traditional Denture Material

Zirconia is the “gold standard” material for the All-On-4 procedure. Zirconia is a type of ceramic that is extremely durable and resistant to wear and corrosion, making it an excellent choice for All-On-4 dental restorations.

One of the main benefits of using zirconia for All-On-4 dental implants is its strength and stability. Zirconia bridges can withstand high chewing forces without cracking or chipping, ensuring that your new teeth perform impeccably for decades. Zirconia is also biocompatible, which means it’s unlikely to cause an allergic or inflammatory reaction. This makes it an ideal option for patients with sensitive or allergy-prone skin.

Another advantage of zirconia dental implants is its stunning, natural-looking appearance. Unlike metal or acrylic, zirconia has a translucent quality that closely mimics the look of natural teeth, giving your new teeth a realistic and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Finally, zirconia is easy to clean, maintain, and can be easily polished to keep its shine and prevent discoloration over time. This helps ensure the longevity and durability of your new All-On-4 teeth.

Overall, zirconia is an excellent choice for All-On-4 dental implants, offering a number of benefits that make it an attractive option for patients seeking a beautiful, long-lasting, natural-looking, and easy-to-maintain smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

All-On-4 Dental Implants Baltimore, MD

What to do if your tooth gets knocked out?

If you knock out a tooth, timing is very important to save the tooth. You need to get to a dentist or endodontist within 30 minute. Your first step is to pick up the tooth by the crown, never by the root. Next rinse off the tooth with water only. Do NOT use any products on your tooth and do not scrub or dry it off. If possible, return the tooth to its socket and hold it in place. If the tooth cannot be immediately placed back into the socket, make sure to keep it moist either in your mouth or in milk. Do not keep the tooth in regular tap water. Next, go see a dentist! Ideally you should go to the dentist within 30 minutes, but it is possible to save a tooth even outside of that time frame.

What to do about old, discolored fillings?

Aside from being extremely noticeable and unsightly, amalgam fillings can cause more harm to your health. They often contain mercury or other heavy metals that can affect your health. Another issue with these fillings is that they do not bend when pressure is applied to the tooth, and this cause more cracks in the teeth. This is why we recommend if you have amalgam filling to replace them.

What steps do you take for infection control?

We adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. All tools and equipment are thoroughly sanitized and we follow all CDC guidelines.

What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, we will conduct a comprehensive exam, take any necessary X-rays, and discuss your dental history and treatment options.

What services do you offer?

We offer a wide range of dental services, including general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, surgical treatments, and preventive care to meet the needs of patients of all ages.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most major dental insurance plans. Please contact our office to confirm whether we accept your specific plan.

Is your practice child-friendly?

Absolutely! We provide dental care for the entire family and strive to make dental visits enjoyable for children with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I have stained & discolored teeth. What should I do?

Whitening your teeth is the quickest way to change your smile. A daily cup of coffee or glass of red wine in the evening takes a toll on the appearance of your teeth. You could take years of stains off your teeth with just one hour in our office. Whether you have an upcoming wedding, job interview, or party, let professional teeth whitening give you the confidence boost you need.

How often should I visit the dentist?

We recommend visiting the dentist for a routine check-up and cleaning every six months to maintain optimal oral health.

How do I book an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment by calling us at 410-838-2024 or by filling out the appointment request form on our website.

Do you offer emergency dental services?

Yes, we provide emergency dental care. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please call our office as soon as possible.

Do you offer cosmetic dentistry?

Yes, we specialize in various cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening, veneers, and Invisalign to help you achieve a beautiful smile.

Do you accept new patients?

Yes! We are always welcoming new patients to Rock Spring Dental Care. Please call 410-838-2024 to schedule your first appointment.

Do misaligned teeth affect my oral health?

Aligning your teeth isn’t just for cosmetic reasons. It changes the position of your entire mouth. This includes the jaw and tongue. Changing the position of your jaw and where your tongue rests in your mouth can open up your airway and alleviate snoring and sleep apnea.

By straightening your teeth, you could also be treating other health concerns. Crowded and misaligned teeth make it harder to brush and floss properly. By straightening your teeth, you can do a better job of flossing and brushing. This is why patients with straighter teeth are less likely to have gum disease or tooth decay.

All-On-4 Dental Implants Step by Step

The procedure itself typically takes 4-6 hours depending on whether you are having a single arch treated (upper or lower) or both arches (full mouth). When you leave our office, your temporary All-On-4 bridge(s) will be securely attached to your new implants.

You will wear your temporary bridge(s) for about 4 months to allow time for your implants to integrate with your bone and for your jaw and gums to heal into a stable, long-term position before we fabricate your final bridge(s). This healing time ensures the closest possible fit for your final bridges.

After you have healed, we will begin fabricating your final All-On-4 bridge(s). This involves a few appointments over a 5-6 week period, during which time you’ll help us design your ideal smile for your permanent teeth.

Digital Impressions

Our lab uses the latest technology to capture complete digital impressions of your mouth. We use these to make your temporary implant bridge(s). Possible wax try-in – if you are missing all or most of the teeth in the arch that we will be treating, our doctor may suggest a wax try-in. This is a mockup of your temporary implant bridge and will be used to check bite position, aesthetics, etc.

1

Procedure

Remove teeth (if applicable), place implants, and place temporary implant bridge(s). The procedure typically takes about 4-6 hours.

2

Post Op #1

Day after procedure | Check in on your healing and answer any questions you may have.

3

Post Op #2

3 weeks after procedure | Remove sutures and check healing. Patient is typically cleared to use a water flosser/WaterPik at this appointment.

4

Impressions for Final Teeth

4 months after procedure | Take impressions for final All-On-4 zirconia bridges.

5

Try-In

5-10 days after impressions | We’ll “try-in” a mock-up of your final All-On-4 teeth. In some cases, multiple wax try-ins are needed. We want to make sure you’re completely happy with your wax try-ins before processing them because once they’re processed, we’re unable to make changes. If you want to make changes after you have approved your final bridge(s) and they’ve been fabricated, there will be a full-cost remake charge.

6

Seat Final Teeth

4-6 weeks after try-ins | Your final All-On-4 teeth are ready to seat.
